WHAT IS ZOOTHERAPY?
Zootherapy is an alternative therapy approach aimed at enhancing the quality of life for participants through the physical and psychological benefits of interacting with animals. It can be practiced in various settings such as hospitals, mental health institutions, rehabilitation centers, and nursing homes. Zootherapy programs stimulate cognitive functions, promote communication, improve motor skills, and address emotional aspects, fostering a connection with the animal that reduces stress, increases motivation, and enhances self-esteem.
